As a construction project manager you will be overseeing every aspect of a construction project, including planning and design, ensuring it’s completed on time and within budget. A construction project manager also helps support compliance with national safety standards and local building codes.

Common duties include:

• Coordinating with architects, engineers, plumbers and electricians
• Preparing and reviewing cost estimates, bids and contracts
• Communicating project updates to clients and other interested parties, such as consultants
• Leading project meetings and maintaining accurate documentation, including drawings, change orders and project plans
• Enforcing employee safety procedures and environmental regulations, such as the Clean Air Act (CAA)
• Procuring project materials, equipment and permits
• Resolving project issues to prevent delays or budget overages
