Co-Director of Finance

A leader and rapidly expanding Registered Investment Advisory and Estate Planning firm, is seeking a Co-Director of Finance to join our leadership team. In this role, you’ll work alongside the existing Director of Finance to co-lead the department, split key responsibilities, and collaboratively drive the financial strategy, planning, and operations that support our mission: helping clients secure and grow their financial future.
This is a unique opportunity for a dynamic financial professional to step into a high-impact leadership role with shared ownership of strategic initiatives, operational excellence, and system-wide improvements across a fast-paced, service-driven organization.
Note: This role would be 5 days onsite at our Scottsdale Corporate office.
Duties and responsibilities
• Strategic Financial Leadership
o Lead budgeting cycles, financial modeling, forecasting, and consolidated planning across revenue, gross profit, and operating expenses
o Create reporting on a monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting basis -analyzing results, synthesizing key trends, and presenting insights to executive leadership
o Deliver ad hoc financial analysis to support high-impact decisions across the business
• Financial Operations Oversight
o Lead payroll administration and expense report reconciliation
o Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
o Reporting for 401(k) and TSEPP
o Lead departmental monthly bonus preparation and reporting.
• Systems & Process Optimization
o Partner with internal departments to ensure financial systems (NetSuite, Salesforce, Snowflake, ISolved) align with business needs
o Lead vendor coordination and successful automation and integrations
o Support and continuously improve the financial system of record, data integrity, and reporting capabilities
• Cross-Functional Collaboration
o Collaborate with various departments to support financial initiatives
o Drive alignment across departments through a structured annual and long-term planning process
o Develop and implement financial planning policies, timelines, tools, and communication strategies
o Contribute to a culture of accountability, transparency, and process improvement within the Finance team and the broader organization
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in finance, with a strong foundation in FP&A, accounting, and systems integration
• Proficiency with NetSuite, Salesforce, and other financial databases
• Experience managing cross-functional projects and multiple stakeholders
• Strong analytical skills and executive presence, with the ability to deliver clear, actionable insights to senior leadership
• Exceptional communication skills-both written and verbal-and a collaborative mindset
• High attention to detail and accuracy, especially when preparing reports and presentations for executive audiences
• Ability to influence without authority, navigate change, and work effectively in a fast-paced, client-centric environment
