Accounts Payable Specialist

A national leader in the high-end commerical building industry is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial services. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with regulatory reporting requirements, and supporting various accounting functions within the organization.

Duties

  • Prepare and maintain financial statements and reports in accordance with applicable standards.
  • Manage accounts receivable, ensuring timely invoicing and collection of payments.
  • Assist in tax preparation and compliance, including filing necessary documentation.
  • Conduct regular reconciliations of accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support corporate finance initiatives and financial planning.
  • Stay updated on securities law and regulatory changes affecting financial reporting.
  • Provide insights on financial performance through analysis of data and trends.
  • Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in financial services or governmental accounting is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with Xero or similar accounting software is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of tax regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent financial acumen with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Knowledge of regulatory reporting standards relevant to the industry.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.

Pay: $55,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
